Community Tasting Notes 1

April 14, 2019 - White variety native to the northern coast of the Sea of Marmara between Uçmakdere and Şarköy that is almost extinct now apart from the vines of a few growers in the region and plantings owned by Paşaeli and Melen. Kolorko is a low yielding, late ripeining variety with thick skins.
Rather mineral than fruity with stony minerality dominating the nose and the palate. Rich, slightly unctuous in texture with searing acidity that lifts the wine overall so well.
