    May 31, 2019 - Bourgogne GC BYO, vin 11:

    Brun i färgen rakt igenom, ingen vinäger doft eller känsla av oxidation men har helt enkelt tappat all frukt och kraft.

    Urvattnad, blek, lite rotfrukter, tea påse, tomatsoppa, choklad.

    BV=0
    WV=8 (min)

    January 15, 2019 - Significantly better than last bottle (loads of bottle variation noted on this wine). This one was under foil rather than wax sealed. Nice game and “barnyard” nose initially which settled out to a placid, merely good, red fruited, modestly secondary nose and palate. Xavier94’s note applies here as the wine is lean, his descriptors are present but muted. Merely good+, not GC quality.

    July 3, 2018 - There's a reason Wegmans/Century (the real source) was dumping this at $27 or whatever. It's technically GC wine at village wine quality (and apparently in some stores, less than village wine prices!). I've visited the place and they are super nice people. But their investment in their vineyards, vinification and pretty much every aspect of wine production needs serious upgrades. As the largest grower in Gevrey Chambertin with relatively huge GC vineyard holdings, something has to (and eventually will) give here. When I was there, it looked like no sons and one daughter (whose main job it seemed to be to keep the old guy's comments in check), so God ony knows what the "succession plan" might look like. Only upside from here!
    The wine was muted in all aspects, but not over-the-hill or shot. Just very plain and uninspiring. This bottle was wax sealed, others are just foil capped. 95+ scores on this are batshit crazy! Some of their wines have shown wonderfully but overall, they are major underachievers.

    July 2, 2018 - lean but focused; pale core and rim, showing some brown. Fresh aromas of hay/manure, beetroot, celery salt, smoke and decaying wood come about, mixed with bits of blood orange. Slightly tangy in the mouth with a crisp feel (strange for '99). Drink now.

    February 19, 2018 - Second and last bottle of a purchase. PnP, but using a Burgundy glass this time. Similar elements as previous bottle but with a bit more intensity. Pretty nose with a medium-bodied texture that carries the dried red fruit elegantly. Has a nice sweet finish.
