Community Tasting Notes 2

June 3, 2022 - Perfumed. Floral. High acid black cherry flavors with fine tannins that need probably another 5 years. There is a nice lifted mineral finish. It benefits presently with a decant and/or food. My sister in law noticed a slight smoky taste and I think that this would taste good with duck from the Morris as well as the Northern Rhône syrah we had last time.

October 12, 2019 - medium ruby red with watery rim; black cherry, plum, dark chocolate, mint; medium body, high acidity, medium tannins/fine grained, 13% ABV; ripe vintage, made from 100% Merlot, organically farmed in mixture of clay, limestone, and gravel, élevage in 25% new French oak, a Kermit Lynch; $39
