March 28, 2024 - I was not impressed - coravin'd a glass here and there over a few weeks. Finally opened the bottle and finished it. There is dark fruit, tobacco, wood and hints of spice. The finish was moderate up until the last glass which was a much fuller finish. I would try again.

August 20, 2023 - Decanted for 45 minutes prior to enjoying with beef tacos. Even at 7+ years, and the decant, it still seems early on this. Displays a deep opaque purple color. Leads with smokey oak, and a melange of undefined black and blue fruits in the mix. Structure trying to find equilibrium with polished tannins, lingering acidity, charred oak, and chewy fruits providing the basis of what may become an outstanding wine. There’s both subtle power and elegance here, but I think additional bottle age will benefit this wine. Decanting required now, but drink through 2030+. Lots of potential for improvement.
