October 12, 2023 - Balanced, concentrated , and generous. Medium length.

October 22, 2022 - Tasted blind and we were indeed surprised.
We kind thought of this as being a young cote rotie, even went to the point of calling it 2015/16 Ch Ampuis with its smoky, savory feel albeit the lack of new oak that is a tell tell sign of Guigal was not there. In any case an impressive wine for the level and price and very happy t have crossed paths with it.

November 19, 2020 - I hesitated to buy this as I am used to buying Montepulciano d’Abruzzo in the $20s. Still, this is the best d’Abruzzo I have ever tasted. Deeply flavored, chalky, assertive in a good way acidity. Exceptional mouth feel. Lovely wine - superb with food, captivating on its own. It must be unfiltered and that just adds to its charm. Well worth the money.

November 8, 2020 - Lots of acid and structure. Will likely last for ages. Pencil lead and cigar box. Needs food.
