August 26, 2019 - Bought from a local merchant where the saleslady was extremely knowledgeable and suggested this German PN. Pnp, color is deep ruby, mixed nose od red and black fruits, spice. Quite oaky on palate, but blew off after some airing, good concentration with fine balance of sweet fruits and acidity that rendered the wine lively. More akin to a VR from bourgogne. Long lingering finish with more dark fruits. A bargain from German PN and a screaming buy of a VR.

April 25, 2019 - Just way too much oak, overpowering oak. Like a piece of wood in my mouth.

March 29, 2019 - Darkish colour. Transparent but dark red. Big whack of new oak aromas. Smells expensive. Like a new house with fresh paint. Bit of a burnt orange thing in the background.
Bigger palate for a Pinot. Feels rich and quite ripe in the mouth, sort of seems more like a new world style.
Some chewiness/bigger phenolics with elevated acidity, leading to pronounced astringency. Dark chocolate bitterness with chalky fine tannins on the finish.
Nice but a bit pricey and a bit too much new oak for my taste.
