December 12, 2022 - Pretty and classic dark garnet color. Initially, there was an abundance of tree fruit, some cherry, but especially tangy apricot, and also a bit of mulling spice. After resting for a day, the fruit smoothed and blended very nicely with a bucolic, dusty, earthiness and healthy tannins. These tannins are more present around cool room temperature where I prefer to drink Morgon. I'd say this is now in its prime drinking window but, sadly, I only have 2 more bottles.

May 19, 2022 - Red fruit, juicy berry, hint of oak. Sweet jam and spice on nose
Intense fruit, red fruit, artificial cherry

February 10, 2022 - The nose was reticent barely starting to open. The fruit flavors were classic Morgon and even closer to a clenched fist. The finish was the sme. Morgon's take time. Preferring to let wines develop in the cellar until in the early stage of maturity, will wait 2 years to open another. The potential seems very promising for those with patience (and a cellar with wines closer to maturity).

January 28, 2022 - Clear red, paling edge. What hits you first is smoke, then cherries, minerals, white pepper. Medium body w fine acidity, a surprising amount of tannins, which dominates the cherry fruit. Medium, balanced aftertaste. Won't benefit from more cellaring. Nice, but nothing earthshaking.

January 13, 2022 - Plenty of fleshy dark fruit - black cherry, pomegranate, and also some strident redcurrant. Acidity is still good, phenolic in character which I like, the tannins aren't intrusive, and there is decent length. It is a touch "raisiny" on the finish though. Admittedly this was a lone bottle, and my first from this producer, but I've imbibed a fair bit of Beaujolais and for my taste it seems a smidge past its peak. Lovely juice though, and I would buy more of his wines in the future.
