  January 24, 2022 - Method: about 6 degrees; Grassl 1855; initially after pop and pour
  
  Look: deep ruby w/ some bricking; many fast and slow legs
  
  Nose: black cherry, dry/scorched earth, dry bay leaf, cigar box, anise, eucalyptus; complex and expressive
  
  Palate: dry earth, ripe cherry, dry herbs, tart blackberry; long finish of dried herbs, minerality; dry; full body; high amount of drying tannins, especially on the finish (softened up a lot after 2 hours of air and day 2); high- acidity; borderline low heat (this also seemed to dissipate after some air)
  
  Overall thoughts: On pop and pour, the stuffing was fairly overwhelming and there was a touch of heat, which was not a great combo for me and I scored this an 86. However, this wine improved a ton with a few hours of air, and was even better the next day. Once this opened up, the tannins became much more plush and the body filled out. The fruit became even more expressive and the touch of heat was no longer noticable. It needs air, but once it gets it, this is a great wine.

  October 25, 2021 - Inky, purple and unevolved color. Still jammy and primary. Spicy, peppery black fruits. Big, bold and modestly tannic. Bright acids. I would imagine this can last another 20-30 years. Let's see how this develops in the glass over the next hour or two. Contrary to some other reviews this wine does not in any way, shape or form resemble Bordeaux. It is classically Rhone in style. More north than south.

  January 23, 2021 - Deep Ruby
  Nose: ripe red fruit, raspberry preserves, forest floor, cigar box
  Palate: explosive red fruit, berries, suave and well balanced, nice mature wood notes, allspice, medium+ body, medium+ acidity, sweet fine-grained tannins. Gorgeous wine. Reminds me of mature Pauillac, oddly.

  December 8, 2020 - Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
  
  Nice nose of black currants, plums, strawberries, sweet cherries, light wood, spices, coffee, dark chocolates, earth, cinnamon, eucalyptus and peppercorn.
  
  Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and long legs.
  
  Dry on the palate with blueberries, black currants, wood, licorice, light vanilla, chocolates, beef jerky, spices, dark coffee, pencil lead, earth, light vegetables, tobacco and peppercorn.
  
  Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
  
  This is a great GSM Blend from Paso Robles. Showing great complexity with a nice mouthfeel.
  
  Needs 3 hours to open up properly, but good after an hour of airtime. Tannins show up after 2 hours in the decanter.
  
  This 15 years old is good by itself or with food. Feels more like a 10 to 15 year old, good quality, Right Bank Bordeaux.
  
  Wine Enthusiasts 89 points (big miss).
  
  Really enjoyed smelling on it for a while. Delicious and tasty.
  
  A blend of 74% Syrah, 24% Grenache and 2% Mourvedre.
  
  15.5% alcohol by volume.
