April 28, 2024 - Medium pale gold. This is immediately lively and aromatic, and on the palate it has a really rather unexpectedly good interaction of roundness and focus. Very little flab. Frankly I was amazed as the previous bottles were not exactly world-beating but there you have it. Perhaps it was because I actually thought I had none left, it was stashed away amongst some reds and a surprising find that I was thus was predisposed to like. Anyway, a very pleasing and solid white burgundy that hit all the right notes and was oustanding value for money all things considered. The last of the case, and interestingly the best yet, beating the penultimate bottle which was also an improvement on the ones that came before.

February 18, 2024 - The best bottle of this case so far, much more vibrant than the prior bottles, this has some genuine zip and zing, clear bottle variation. Pithy citrus on a mouth swirl, fresh zest and lovelt acidity, it is medium bodied, tangy and very moreish. Perhaps the first genuine rays of late winter sunshine pouring onto the table helped its cause, this just had this little bit extra to give versus the earlier bottles a few weeks ago. Perfect weekend quaffer.

January 3, 2024 - Cork a bit soft but the wine is fine. It's a light yellow colour. I had high hopes for this but it fell a bit flat. It's just not very exciting, and I have to say doesn't really have that sense of Bourgogne that the best lowly classified Cote d'Or wines have, rather it falls into more of the generic Chardonnay bucket. A shame, as the producer is good, the grapes no doubt came from good plots, and the vintage was excellent. For all that the fruit is OK, the wine is still perfectly drinkable, but it should be better. Maybe it was better once upon a time and is now past its peak. That said, at £19 on the table it still represents ok value, I mean you would largely struggle to get something as good for £19 in a supermarket, but I expected more. I note that just a year ago another reviewer said this wine was alive with plenty more to give so pehaps this was just a tired bottle and, as this was the first of a six pack, some of the others will have more to give?

January 15, 2023 - I'd omitted to read my note from a year ago. Still so much interest and energy here. No rush to consume. Well above its generic rating in quality.

January 29, 2022 - I was surprised how fresh and tight this was. Some nice fruit but only emerging with a little air and warmth. Plenty of structure (and acidity) to improve over the next 2-3 years.
