October 1, 2021 - Light purple color. Smells of mulled cherries and plums with notes of grilled beef, roasted red peppers, tobacco pipe and some floral potpourri. Full-bodied, the tannins are structured but refined, moderate acidity. Tangy plums and black cherries mix with notes of tilled soil, graphite, roasted chestnut. Beautiful mouthfeel and focus throughout. Needs air or a few my years in the cellar, this is lovely and shows how well some of these wines can age.

January 29, 2021 - Light purple color. Aromas of mulled cherries and plums mix with these notes of grilled beef, cracked black pepper, olives, roasted red peppers and tobacco – lovely! Full-bodied, structured but refined tannins, moderate acidity, this is framed well and sports delicious, tangy plums and black cherries. The non-fruit flavors pop: tilled soil, graphite, roasted chestnut, anise. Still plenty of aging time ahead of it, and it opens up really well with air, and goes to show how Alentejo Alicante can age. Includes 20% Touriga Nacional and 15% Tinta Caiada.

July 13, 2020 - Retail $25. 65% Alicante Bouschet, 20% Touriga Nacional, and 15% Tinta Caiada. Big Ass Bottle. Information on this wine is all over the place on the interwebs; it is listed as anywhere from $18 to $48 and the varietal composition is equally widely reported. What I do know? It is a really good wine in a really heavy bottle... Dark in the glass, fruity and earthy on the nose, and plenty of depth on the palate. While I can find little consistent information on the wine, it is damned good. thedrunkencyclist.com

July 8, 2020 - Wines of Alentejo: Nearly opaque carmine color with lifted plum, sour cherry, boysenberry jam, leather, dark chocolate, savory spice (anise and a kiss of dill) cedarwood aromas. On the palate it's full bodied with medium-acidity and enticing sour cherry, plum, boysenberry, savory spice, graphite, vanilla, cacao flavors and a long finish. Blend of 65% Alicante Bouschet, 20% Touriga Nacional, and 15% Tina Calada. Aged in French and American oak for 14 months. 14.5% abv|SRP - $48

Carmin composts all organic waste from the winemaking process (grape pomace and lees) into fertilizer. New additions at the winery include installation of rooftop solar panels, taking advantage of Alentejo’s abundant solar energy

June 16, 2020 - Some Alentejo wines: Medium purple color. Complex aromas of tart cherries and blackberries, with deep green and black olive tones, tilled earth, anise and coffee grounds. Full-bodied, with dusty tannins, medium acidity, a structured but lively feel. Cherries and blackberries mix well with complex notes of anise, leather, charcoal, dusty earth, mineral and rocky elements. This is in a great place right now, and just goes to show how well Alentejo wines can age. Alicante Bouschet with 20% Touriga Nacional and 15% Tinta Caiada, aged in French and American oak for 14 months.
