  June 14, 2021 - the wine is still very much expressing a juicy Tempranillo with very good perfume - leather and sloe berries but also a little bit more cassis than spice at this point, perhaps the cautious oak influence is receding while the fruit has stayed very much at the fore. The fresh apple cider vinegar note on the back end of the palate and on the finish creates a very fresh and delish feeling - you want another sip, basically. This is not the most expensive or complex of the Barranco Oscuro wines, but a perennial favorite of mine. I think it's drinking perfectly well right now 4 years after the vintage. Very food friendly.

  December 4, 2020 - Fresh and fruity Tempranillo aromas. Fruity, meaty and juicy in the mouth. Good acidity. Seems rather fragile and on the edge to be oxidized.

  September 15, 2019 - I really like this, not so complicated but juicy and with some acidic core and structure at the same time. A hint of sloeberry, leather, spice. Savoury and fruity at the same time. Recommended.
