August 12, 2022 - A great balance of fruit and savory flavors. Really nicely developed and drinking well. Great acid, tannins evident particularly after an hour or so, alcohol unnoticeable (as it should be!). I was very impressed.
I am a fan of Halcon so maybe it is something special about this vineyard, but this was different than the other Myriad Syrah’s I have tried. Less in your face fruity, more balanced and complex. It also could be the effect of a few years of age. I now need to pull out some of the other ‘16 and 17s to test that theory! -

December 26, 2021 - Very textured mouthfeel with stone and bitterness, not a luscious fruit bomb for sure. Not actually loving this. Higher alcohol and heat.

May 18, 2021 - Smoky aromas. On the palate plum, grape (why don't we see more grape in wine descriptions?), olive, medium tannins and spicy finish.

March 15, 2021 - Super dark purple...nose is a nice ripe plum and spice...
Lots going on in the mouth....plum first, grippy tannins next, some meat, some olive, finishes with deep raspberry tannic grip....
Think it could use a few years..delish..
