June 24, 2021 - Can definitely taste the Italian influence despite only 13% sangiovese in with the Merlot and CS. Red fruits and good acidity despite the hot growing season. Good QPR considering it's a 3rd wine.

May 28, 2021 - Opened up in the glass for a few hours.

Red fruit and herbs on the nose. Ripe and fresh. Medium body, very smooth, again some herbs on the palate. Finish is dusty minerals, thyme, and basil. The contribution from Sangiovese is well noted in the character and tannins of the wine.

This is very much an Italian wine, and would go well with red sauces, elegant pizza, even a steak. Drink now, might improve in the following 1-2 years but no need to wait.

Day 2: Bumped to 92. So much better. Not that it was bad on the first day, but this is in full stride on day 2. Everything well integrated, nose is so fragrant, palate is so prominent and intermingled. Wines like this make me wonder why I don't have more Italian reds.

May 23, 2021 - A lower end and somewhat simple super Tuscan
Aromas of black cherry and plum, no detectable pyrazine or green notes, some vanilla. Medium resolved tannins that provide a bit of grip. Ok length
On the whole, it lacks concentration or complexity but would work fine as a table wine

May 15, 2021 - A lower end Super Tuscan primarily from Merlot and Cabernet, but also some Sangiovese, grapes. Not a fan of sangiovese, which brings that tart tomato red fruit flavor. Thankfully, the Chianti taste is very faint only. Well rounded with somewhat zippy tannins. Not a lot of character, but clearly a well made wine.
