April 11, 2023 - Excellent color. Perfumed Nebbiolo nose. A Barolo designed to be consumed early. Great fruit and acid with some tannins in the finish. After being opened for a couple of days (held with rubber stopper), wine shows mature, funky, mushroom, earthy, old wood character.
(3/25/2021) Rather deeply colored for a Barolo. Closed, dusty nose, like dried raspberries. Taste reticent featuring plum or fig jam with acidity and tannin dominating. A modern-style Barolo made for earlier consumption. Drinkable now but will improve with time. 2nd day: Opens up beautifully. Just proves (again) that Barolo needs time. -
