March 16, 2024 - Deep dark red colour. Some dark fruit with a on the nose with a hint of barnyard. On the palate a full body, well balanced with some juicy fruit, smooth tannins and refreshing acidity. Long finish with a hint of dry fruit and baking spices.

March 7, 2024 - Au nez, allumette/souffre, écurie, sous-bois, champignon, épices/bois, et des baies rouges...discrètes. Un vin fruité, souple, ample, rond, sapide... Texturé aux saveurs de fruits mûrs, de violette et d'épices/bois. Longue finale souple...soupçon de griotte. Prêt à boire. 91+

February 24, 2024 - I have had this wine in previous vintages. This, the first of 2 from 2011, disappoints. No decant. Whether at first or an hour later, this does not present anything special, beyond the obvious Rioja traits. A bit of balsamic on the palate intrudes rather than compliments.

February 24, 2024 - DD 2 hours before. A great Rioja. Spice, vanilla and dark fruit on the nose. Still some tannins but generally balanced, smooth palate. Wish I had more of this in my cellar- I expect it will improve but very pleasurable drinking now.
