July 27, 2023 - Tasted after a 9 year old Felton Road single vineyard Pinot, which was good, dark-fruity and remarkably full-bodied. The Bressandes was very obviously a finer wine. It had an attractive, clean bouquet, plenty of fruit but with elegance rather than power dominant. There was much more complexity, with notes of black and red berries around a balanced core. No obvious tannin left but enough acid to accentuate its savouriness. I think it might be approaching its peak but probably has several more years before any sign of fading. I wish I’d bought more en primeur at £360 a case!

December 3, 2022 - No bouquet, solid pop, soft cork, one third wet. No fruit to speak of but somehow nice presence on palate. Acidity feels evolved and mature, not faded or flabby. May be the nicest attribute of this wine. Beautiful luminescent ruby. Rim almost clear and water like. Making it hard to determine if I like this or if more time required to open up. Soft tart cherry flavor. Think I had this open for 2-3 days and it did develope deeper fruit, and never fell apart.

June 20, 2019 - Part of 2005 Burgundy tasting. Sixth in the lineup. Mid red colour. Red cherry with blackberry and earthy and mineral notes. Full body, balanced and persistent on the finish. Just approaching drinking window with man years ahead. May deserve higher rating in the future.

October 5, 2018 - A little more wood influence showing through upon initial opening. Cleared up with air. Beautiful structure and balance. Concentrated and long. Lots of life left here. Drink 2020-2028.

August 27, 2017 - 4 years since last I sampled this, and a huge shift in overall experience. Whereas my notes from 2013 indicate a closed wine that needed lots of air to open up, this seemed ready to go right after opening. A delicate wine, with aromas of cherry and raspberry as well some light herb. Flavors included a note of green tea to the spice and red fruit. Really excellent.
