Reife, offene Nase, anfangs leicht staubig wirkend, aber spannend, würzige Noten, Leder, Stroh, eingekochte Erdbeeren, Pflaumen, Süssholz, sehr intensiv und mit guter Komplexität. Am Gaumen weicher Auftakt, dann rasch straff werdend, auch hier deutlich Gerbstoff, sehr solide Struktur, die Frucht zeigt wieder Erdbeeren und Pflaumen, dazu Weihnachtsgewürze. Im Abgang langanhaltend. Der Beweis, gut 10 Jahre nach Abfüllung, dass diese Weine hervorragend reifen. Jetzt bis 2023, 18.5 vvPunkte, (92/100)

December 10, 2019 - Nicely surprised to find this wine absolutely perfect for drinking now. I think it is my last bottle, and a year or two since I drank the previous one.
Good colour. Wonderful peppery start over a long intense herby strawberry fruit. All completely integrated, and no sense at any symptoms of over-age.
The 2005s lasted much better than the 2006s. -
