August 13, 2023 - Nose: bright fruit, dark cherry and ripe dark raspberry, moist dark earth. Palate: creme de cassis and blackberry liqueur; tannins are nicely integrated (but a tinge softer and higher toned than the 2014 from the same producer); overall has a more plush and fruity mouthfeel than the 2014 during our side-by-side tasting.

October 15, 2022 - Delicious Malbec aromas with dark fruit like blackberries and blackcurrant, forest floor and some leather. Fruity and concentrated, with good structure and balance. Impressive for the price.

July 5, 2022 - Appearance: deep ruby, light staining, medium+ tearing, no rim variation, not much sediment.

Nose: clean, medium intensity, developing, blackberry, black plum, red plum, boysenberry, black pepper, clay pot, organic earth, wet soil.

Palate: dry, medium acid, medium+ tannin, medium+ alcohol (13.5%), medium+ body, medium+ finish, blackberry, black plum, red plum, boysenberry, black pepper, clay pot, organic earth, wet soil, prune.

July 9, 2021 - (no formal tasting notes)

A delicious and balanced Cahors displaying blackberry, black plum, violet, herbs, white pepper, clay pot, and clove. Nice structure with elevated acidity and tannins that keep the wine fresh, food-friendly, and ready to age for a few more years. A great southwestern French red that is somewhat polished but rustic enough to maintain an authentic character. Yum!

May 24, 2021 - Nose: tart/dried blackberries and currants; leather, hint of soil/earth. Palate: loads of course tannins up front (needs quite a bit of time to open up), hints of black pepper, blackberry bramble; drying finish. Good acid, should age well.
