August 2, 2017 - Blind White Burgs - Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet (Acadia): 1999 BBM flight. Medium gold. Yum, sexy nose with musky spice, some rubber tire, mature white fruit and mint. On the palate this is gorgeous. Mature flavors but the fruit is intense and the acids are still fresh. Concentrated with layering. Outstanding.

August 2, 2017 - Blind White Dinner: Top Producers' Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet (Acadia - Chicago IL): Tasted single blind. Slightly musty start. Almost textbook BBM, this has a ripe and fleshy start, then incredible balance middle forward with a mineral-laced, long and energetic finish.

March 31, 2017 - 3rd Annual Game dinner with Grand Cru Bourgogne (Chateau de le Shane aka Shane's house in New Jersey): Medium lemon yellow color with a slight green tinge. Light but fragrant nose of white flowers, lemon and minerals/wet stones. Medium plus acidity gives it a surprisingly, very young bright flavor profile with lemon citrus predominating along with some honeysuckle. Very feminine and lovely, I didn't pick up any significant butter or cream. Very youthful. Wonderful pairing with the Frog's legs. I like this slightly better both alone and with the food than the 2002 Bertagna Corton Charlemagne, but only by a slim margin.

March 7, 2015 - This wine was even more balanced, complex and longer on the palate than the 9/1/08 bottle. Surprisingly, the wine also was as fresh and had better acidity than the 9/1/08 bottle.

November 29, 2014 - Sweet fragrant aromas of lemon orange rind and virus with a honeycomb note. Ripe fat rich with wonderful underlying structure, nice baking spice. Special stuff. 94
