November 20, 2020 - Opened with pizzas, this was a good match. Cherry and hints of spice as expected. After being open for ~7 hours, the tannin seemed to actually creep in a bit more and the fruit went more to the background. I regret not having the chance to study the nuances more.

March 29, 2020 - Cracking little wine from Almondo, his entry(ish) level Nebbiolo from Roero. A lovely sweetness of cherry and red berry fruit on the palate with well balanced acidity and very fine tannins. This really is very good for £17 and perfectly ready to drink. A definite addition to our wine rack staples and competes very well on a QOR basis with Langhe wines.

October 4, 2019 - Opened to breathe for an hour with dinner. Soft nose of violets and spices. On the palate, we have sweet red fruit, tar, tannins and acid. Light to medium bodied. Having tried a bunch of '16 barbarescos over the past 3 months, this nebbiolo is much lighter and has much less gravitas. Still, it is very easy to drink and tasty, just not as complex as the barbarescos, some of which are at this price point, even lower! 89/90

July 23, 2019 - cherry red fruit rose petal earthy

July 20, 2019 - Opened to breathe for an hour. Faint spices and berries on the nose, the palate has lush red cherries, spices, and a great blend of acid and cottony tannins. A very satisfying Nebbiolo, great QPR. If anything, even more impressive tonight than at the store tasting last week.

This unraveled after pumping down overnight, like oxidized port, primary notes of alcohol, sweet cherries, and tannins. This should be enjoyed on the day it is opened.
