Community Tasting Notes 5

February 10, 2022 - I've nnever experienced the pleasure that this varietal promises. At least this bottling is affordable. There is honey on the palate; a signature sign of Viognier. Nice acidity and a great accompiniamant to tonight's chicken thighs.

November 13, 2020 - Unctuous and heavily extracted. Floral nose. Could use more acidity to avoid becoming cloying. I recall there being more. Addendum: day2 : Added some Sauvignon Blanc to the glass, resulting in more acidity and a better tasting wine.

December 2, 2019 - Quintistessncial Viognier at a great price point. Unctuous wine. Big white. Floral nose with a palate reminiscent of red Beaujolais. Bannanas front and center. Too late, but this would be a great Thanksgiving white. Good acidity keeps this wine from being ponderous. Until now I have never been a Viognier fan except at the very highest level.

September 21, 2019 - Sunfish Cellars Grand Tasting (Just $10) (Sunfish Cellars/I Nonni Minneapolis, MN): Very clean wine with lemon, orange peel, spice and floral notes. Short to medium finish.
