  June 4, 2020 - On the nose, I find smooth oak, some leather and blackberry. On the palate, I find a well-balanced syrah, with plum, blackberry, and a long fruit finish.

  November 17, 2019 - Tart fruit, little pepper and spice. Rather bitter on palate. Good acidity. Not a typical TJ fruit bomb. Stored correctly. Maybe an off bottle.

  July 10, 2019 - THE most buttery oaky wine I've ever had. Most Tobins have toasty oak that is well matched with fruit intensity but this Syrah is an oddball... a tasty oddball for sure, but once you get past the nose of warm, sweet oak, then the buttery oak on entry, the syrah spice and red fruits come thru and a very nice finish. I wonder if this was just the wines from this barrel or if all this bottling has it, but thanks for pleasant quaff.

  June 9, 2019 - Color - Dark garnet with touch of ruby red
  Nose - Pepper, cherry, dark berries
  Palate - Very little tannins, berries, plum, raspberry, a bit of a harsh bite up front.
