    September 5, 2019 - Well proportioned with hints of ripeness and bright acidity. A bit of Leeds on the back end. Quite enjoyable.

    June 12, 2019 - Pale yellow with distant green hue. Floral bouquet (subtle jasmine - or perhaps it is gardenia) with some minerality (slate) and the very subtlest hint, far afield of (it's really, really far and very very pleasant) of clams. There is something there, as well, that suggests pungeance. Perfectly satinly touch on the tongue with a slightly astringent aftertaste: a sublime balance. An aboslutely lovely wine that likely will develop further depth with a wee bit more ageing.

    May 25, 2019 - Taste BBQ Wines (San Diego Wine Co.): WAY too cold

    100% Matchbook Vyd Chard from Yolo County's Dunnigan Hills; "We picked our Chard clones 4 & 124 (Dijon) at night, the estate frt going from vine to crusher in < 30 mins. We used a yeast cocktail (a mixture of our winemaker’s favorite compatible yeasts) in all of the lots, which were then barrel fermented with frequent stirring of the lees. 100% of the barrel lots went through malolactic fermentation. We then selected 10% of the finest barrel lots & aged them an additional 6 mos while maintaining a frequent stirring program. Finally, the barrels were reevaluated with only 1/2 of the original top 10% being selected for the final blend."
    "(Oak) BARRELS: 33% new, 15% 2nd fill, 19% 3rd fill, & 33% neutral;
    French Coopers (Cote d’ Or, Ingeneaux, Marques, & D’Aquitaine), Hungarian Coopers (Trust), & Hybrid [AM/Eastern European] (Fusion);" 14.3% ABV, 5.81 g/L, & 3.81 pH; 8,800 cases produced.

    N: ATTRACTIVE with notes of butter

    P: Med body; RNDISH entry with nice, ALMOST swtish, TOASTY OAK/frt met by an acidity which sets the parameters into & through the LONG, very, VERY slightly bitterish finish with HINTS of swtness? A food wine (IF the oak doesn't interfere) for now & through '20. My VG+, poss VG+/EXC-. [This vendor's $15.99 is as good as any of wine-searcher's current entries.]

    May 6, 2019 - Wine Institute of California & Perswijn (Amsterdam): A bit too much wood for my taste, but undeniable a good wine with a firm body and a good balance.
