May 19, 2019 - Apparently a natural Pinot Gris. Tasted blind.
Quite pale whitish-green color. Youthful and primary nose with aromas of sweet golden apples, some white peach, a little bit of perfumed floral character and a hint of white pepper-driven spice. The wine is medium-to-moderately full-bodied on the palate with youthful flavors of ripe red apples, white peach, some perfumed floral character, light notes of white pepper, a little bit of sweeter fruit tones like pear and apricots, a hint of stony minerality and a touch of honeyed richness. The wine is moderately high in acidity, lending good sense of balance to the wine. The finish is long, spicy and quite fruity with flavors of pear, some white pepper, a little bit of apricot, light mineral notes of wet stones and a hint of red apple.
A nice, big yet balanced and still very youthful Pinot Gris with some obvious weight, but also good structure to back it all up. Overall the wine feels so young - even primary - that it could actually benefit from a few years more in a cellar. I guessed this was a bigger Grüner Veltliner, based on the somewhat pear-driven fruit and spicy notes of white pepper. Somewhat worth the price at 18,60€. -

April 26, 2019 - On the nose ripe apple, peach, some yellow stone fruit. Medium(+) bodied, dry, rather refreshing, showing subtle peach, a bit of ripe apple and yellow plums with decent acidity. A hint of pepper/heat on the finish. Not bad but somehow a bit monolithic.

April 8, 2019 - Shy on the nose with some white peach, lychee, grains and whitepepper.
Dry, full bodied and warm with mid-level acidity and quite a burning sensation towards finish. Some primary pulpiness. Peppery heat all through the palate. Probably just alcohol. Sold as a natural wine in Alko. Who knows. Not a rebuy.1 person found this helpful Comment
