December 15, 2023 - Fruit driven with pronounced earthy notes. Medium body, very long finish with pronounced tannins. Quite OK. Not a typical sangrantino.

March 7, 2023 - We really enjoyed this, especially considering the low price and several ho-hum CT notes so far. It's pretty compact and dense, but I wouldn't call it harsh or closed. Plenty of fruit here ranging from fat black cherry to spiced black plum (more often on the darker side), plus little notes of leather or maybe even a tarry thing. It's not a *wildly* deep or complex wine, but it feels like a mini version of something really serious and contemplative, if that makes sense. Tannins are certainly present but pretty fine-grained and friendly. Great with a steak, and played surprisingly well with a super bright, natural, funky Etna Rosso alongside it.

December 25, 2022 - Needs more time. A little rough right now.

November 19, 2022 - Agree with previous posts, still tight and not offering much flavor after 5 hrs. Nice old world nose. Wait a few more years?

November 5, 2022 - Open and served. Wish I would have decanted. Inky black, with an austere element - muted black cherry, blackberry. Some tannins and some minerality, with a lot of herbal-mushroom-y notes. Not a big hit with others, but I liked this a lot.
