March 7, 2013 - Aromas of oily pineapple, slate and yellow apples. The palate shows some nice tart lime and chalk over top of papaya and apple juice. Not great in the acid department, and a bit hollow on the midpalate. Lacks depth, even more so than when I tasted this two years ago. Drink 'em if you got 'em, cuz this wine is getting tired.

April 3, 2011 - Riesling & Gruner Dinner (Mandu - Washington, DC): This came after a flight of gruners from F.X. Pichler and was an enjoyable reprieve! While this didn't have the exoticism and depth that the Pichler's had this had a subtle elegance to it that I enjoyed quite a bit. Nose had waxy lemons, some tropical fruits and hints of petrol. Palate was lithe with citrus, chalk and lanolin...lots of lanolin. Very nice finish. While I think this is a 90 point wine now, I love aged kabinetts...so there's certainly potential to put this away for a while.

April 3, 2011 - Gruner's and Riesling.; 4/3/2011-4/4/2011 (Mandu Washington Dc): Nose was kind of light with lanolin, lemon peel, apple, floral.
Palate of lemon, apple, lanolin, spice.
The finish was average in length, medium bodied in mouthfeel.

April 3, 2011 - Gruner Veltliner and Riesling at Mandu (Mandu - Washington, DC): the nose shows apples, pineapples and apricot. the palate shows apple juice, pineapples and minerals. nice wine. the lack of acid keeps it from being better than it is, but it was nice to get a riesling with a bit of age on it into the tasting.
