Community Tasting Notes 4

June 1, 2020 - Never had this varietal before. I don’t even think I’ve tasted wines from Canada before. What a pleasant surprise! The color is red but with a rather dark nuance and with blue/purple hue. The nose has plenty of fresh fruit - not unlike a Pinot but still much darker. Blue berries and red currant come to my mind. The taste is round and soft as silk but with great acidity. A dry mouthfeel, but with a faint trace of something sweet - not like sugar, more like sweet and spicy tobacco if that makes any sense?

February 21, 2020 - Aromas of ripe black fruits, cocoa, vegetal notes, earth and soil, maybe some smoke
On the palate it’s medium bodied, low tannins, medium acid — but finishes on a sweet note.
Although a dry wine, the sweet finish is probably what makes it most interesting/unusual.
Would go great with burgers and bbq sauce

October 26, 2019 - Rich dark purple in color. Black fruit on the nose. Medium plus in body medium tannins. Medium acidity Low alcohol. Bolder and more flavourful than the Baco noir we had the other evening. Richer flavour after opening up for an hour
