May 25, 2023 - Suspect it was an off bottle, but this was dead. Very little on the nose, a bit of dried fruit and earth but barely anything to be had. On the palate it tasted like... generic nondescript wine, pretty much just acid and tannin.
The cork looked physically sound. No overt musty/basement TCA smells but suspect that may be the culprit nonetheless. -

March 3, 2023 - Medium ruby. Aromas of cherry, plums, vanilla, tobacco. Wine is dry, full bodied, medium+ acidity, grainy tannins, long aftertaste. Taste of blackberries, cherry, chocolate. Solid Rioja. Very good for price.
