March 25, 2022 - Popped yesterday. Definitely better than my last showing. Fully mature red burg. On the nose: earth, soft red fruit, a hint of hoisin. On the palate: fantastic acidity, earth, game-inflectef pomegranate: a wonderful savory character. Good density, and attenuated tannin on the juicy finish. Lovely.

February 19, 2022 - Not bad - gave it a decent decant. The fruit wakes up and the wine fills out - beautiful nose, more pronounced on day 2 - silky on the palate - long finish - again more so on day 2. In general I like the 2005’s when they were young with lush, sappy fruit. The wine needs a fair amount of air to get going.

December 8, 2021 - This wine seems more closed than the last bottle I tasted. Maybe '05s even at a lower level need to continue to rest or maybe this one is just on the way down. The wine was rustic with hints or fruit on this day.

April 25, 2021 - Burgundy reds: Wow these 2005s are beasts. Massive structure that is still not giving much, as with my previous experience with old Bachelet, it took 5-6 hours of air for the palate to be expressive. Wonderful nose of smoked meat and toast but still elegant, on the palate it was slightly more rustic that I didn't like so much. Good example of an old-school Burgundy.

April 21, 2021 - Een belofte die over de jaren heen nooit is ingelost. Onwrikbaar zuur en ontoegankelijk.
