February 10, 2022 - A: black fruit and hints of oak, carries through to the palette. Med tannins, round mouth feel, ripe black fruit, med-full body, med-long finish where the oak is more pronounced. Drinking well now, 2-4 years of bottle life left. Really enjoyable!

February 9, 2021 - A nice price for an everyday drinker, $37. Opened cold with no nose, over 2 hours to room remp it improved to classic cab notes. The weight is a bit thin in the mouth but it is nice dark berry fruit, matching tannins and acidity. Nothing stands out as out of balance, it's a nice basic everyday drinker for those who don't want to open a $100 bottle on a Tuesday.....but for just a few bucks more you can have a Silencieux from Venge or a Judge Palmer Vintage Select and kick it up a notch!

December 21, 2019 - Winebar [1 Rosé, 4 Whites, & 9 Reds] from 12/20/19 (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA): N: CLOSED; RIPE berries with smoke (?) & poss pyrazines? Intensity lurking?

P: Med body; Rndish entry with NICE, ALMOST swtish frt met by an astringent pucker which stays in contact with the init frt as it transitions into a LONG, balanced finish with an alluring tangy/swtness to the few, unobtrusive, but still firming, slightly dusty tannins. For now with food, & through '23. Nicely done in an approachable style, & as such represents at least reasonable QPR for *this* AVA. [Check with this vendor if interested in their *very* COMPETITIVE price.]

    December 7, 2019 - Winebar [1 Rosé, 3 Whts, & 8 Reds] from 12/06/19 + 7 Shared Reds: N: Vanilla SLIGHTLY atop RIPE berries

P: LM body; NICE, ALMOST swtish frt met by an astringent pucker which stays within hailing distance of the init frt as it transitions into a LONG, balanced, very, VERY slightly tangy finish with a distinct swtness to the relatively unoffensive, firming, dusty tannins. NEEDS/deserves through '20, then drinking into '24? RELATIVELY nice QPR for this AVA in its style that at LEAST comes CLOSE to flirting with R.S. My EXC-; [Check with this vendor if interested in their *very* COMPETITIVE price.]
