October 10, 2023 - Had a few meh Ceritas bottles lately but this one really righted the ship. So Burgundian. Just the softest, roundest, vanilla berry lover. Nice acidity, resolves tannins but still structured, entrancingly perfumed. Bummed when I realized I just have one of these. Bravo.

April 16, 2023 - Reticent at first but after about an hour it opened up nicely and became a beautiful, nuanced Pinot Noir which stylistically straddles California and Burgundy nicely. If anything it's closer to a deep premier cru than a typical Cali Pinot. Really nice indeed !

September 17, 2022 - An easy-to-drink medium-bodied wine. Just the slightest suggestion of red fruit on introduction. The payback from this wine comes mid-palate where an array of subtle baking spices seem to float over the tongue and under the palate. Enough acid to provide backbone, but not a particularly tart wine.

March 19, 2022 - Opened, poured into a decanter (Grassl), and tasted (Glasvin). Then enjoyed with food (roast chicken and roasted Brussel sprouts, in a Thai inspired sauce, in case you were wondering).
Shimmering pale to medium ruby color.
Nose initially offers some sage, and that fans out to high toned red berry fruits. There is a forest floor woodsy note as well.
Bright tart red fruit on the intro, followed by a stainless steel mineral element, and then some bitter pomegranate seed and dried orange peel.
As it sees more air, there is a savory, woodsy note - with dried herbs and some pork fat as well along with that dried citrus peel.
A bit tart and slightly bitter on the finish.

    Wax cap.
    13.3% abv.
Quality cork; branded - no vintage.

October 19, 2021 - Dark garnet. Nose is initially faint but opens up to dark fruit and brambly earth. Tastes of dark cherry, blackberry and plum, with notes of twig, spice and bitter orange. There is plenty of fruit but it is balanced with an earthy core that, overall, gives the wine a profile more savory than fruity. Surprisingly good for an entry level blend. Lots of fine tannin, this will last quite a while and may improve as the wood integrates further.
