April 18, 2022 - Lovely ethereal Nebbiolo d'Alba from the Bernardina site. Aged for 12 months in old (reused) wood.

Floral, roses, violet, strawberry, cranberry, earthy notes with leather as well. Hint of tobacco. Nice tertiary character. Tannins are still quite grippy but not in a bothersome way. This makes me believe this wine has quite some years ahead of it if you're cellaring it properly.

Nice balance, lots of Nebbiolo typicity in this bottle. A Nebbiolo d'Alba which can compete with many entry level Barolo wines.

    April 29, 2019 - Grappe Piemonte 1, vin 1:

Jäsning på ståltank, 12 mån på 300 l gamla ekfat. 14% alkohol.

April 6, 2019 - Smokey, earthy red cherry notes on the nose. Light to medium bodied (14% ABV) with bright red cherry upfront. Fells young, but quite accessible. Some drying notes towards the back, lightly tart red cherry/cranberry and more tannins seemed to come out the longer it was opened. Good blend of initial pretty, bright red fruit with the more structured qualities behind. Should drink well over the next 4-5 years. (Il Goccetto; Rome, Italy)
