October 26, 2020 - There's a hallmark smoky oak character here that exists in many of Stephen's wines, but he does it well. Nice elements of Christmas spice -- cinnamon and clove -- on the back. Lots of dark berry fruit, tempered by a lightly tart edge, a whisp of tannin, and solid acidity.

September 13, 2020 - We had this with grilled top sirloin. Easy to drink - not an expensive red wine so was not looking for a complex wine that would make me rave about it.
It was the perfect inexpensive wine to have with a casual Sunday evening dinner.
You could probably drink this alone, maybe with a meat and cheese tray or fruit and cheese. Like I said not a complex wine - just a good red wine to sip and enjoy.
The wine looks crimson colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like a blackberry. It tastes like a blackberry. The body is light/medium. The wine has a smooth texture. The wine finishes short. The wine has medium acidity. -

May 20, 2020 - One of my go to wines. Had it with surf and turf or grilled streak and shrimp cocktail for our self-isolating 20th anniversary dinner. Perfect!

As I usually do, I opened this bottle and decanted a glass about an hour prior to dinner. This is a very young wine, so please be sure to give it some air - you will be glad you did!
First sniff - earth, dark but not sweet cherries
First taste - moderate tannins, taste reflects aromas
I seem to have paired this wine over two evenings (must have been thirsty one evening) - both with ham loaf, a PA Dutch recipe that is a bit on the sweet & sour side with its brown sugar and vinegar sauce. One night added salad, the other two nights later, corn. With salad, it seemed quite dry; that evening with ham loaf, minimal tannins, softer with the dark cherries in play. Second evening, softer still, smoother, and more fruit. Low tannins, moderate linger.
Another of Stephen's outstanding reds! Thank you, Stephen!
