August 9, 2022 - Fully developed and fleshy, this had flavours of ripe green plums and pears laced with pepper and spice. Quite sweet on the mid-palate the finish was pleasingly dry. Although it revealed a little complexity it lacked zip and freshness. Not one of the better efforts from this fine estate, this behaved more like Pinot Gris than Blanc.
September 13, 2021 - Doran's. A blend of PB and Pinot Auxerrois. Pear and lemon zest with a dry, stony finish. Tastes like an old castle.
March 4, 2021 - Spicy Pinot Blanc with cool notes of crisp pear, white peach, and lemon. A wonderful, light food wine.
October 30, 2020 - Friday at the strand (Strand Cellars, Croydon): Smells fresh, waxy, stone fruit - a little peach and the implications of a little richness. in the mouth it's juicy, fleshy, lovely and rich, served quite cool which hides the alcohol (which is quite prominent as it warms in the glass) and there is a little texture on the mid palate. Hmm for the alcohol and lack of fruit on the palate...
August 5, 2020 - An outstanding Pinot Blanc from a world famous producer. There were floral characters with good acidity and wonderful depth and length for a young wine.
April 27, 2020 - Belle élégance. Des notes de pamplemousse. Fleurs blanches. Note miellée. Bouche assez volumineuse, grasse. Retour vif sur les agrumes et faible acidité. Plaisir soutenu
November 15, 2019 - Medium lemon in the glass, pronounced aromas and flavors, nose of yellow fruits hint of earth, palate is kissing off dry, ripe fruits, crisp apple, bartlett pear, quince jelly paste, wet rocks, acidity is high, medium body, long finish, very nice apertif.
November 4, 2019 - Tasting of 2018 Domaine Weinbach with Catherine Faller (Kaysersberg, France): Reticent nose. Medium weight. Bright, moderately sweet pear and apple. Cheery simple wine with a bit of soil.
