August 29, 2023 - man, this was awesome. perfect combination of fruit and cedary tannins.

March 5, 2022 - Primary, polished, ripe just on the edge of pruney, but complex undertones, gravelly. Nicely structured. Can’t tell exactly where this will be when I open the next bottle in 10+ years but it’s not bad now.

February 14, 2022 - Very rich but drinking well after an hour decant. Concentrated dark fruit, cocoa, ripe tannin, and a bit of tobacco. Quite pleasant on its own.

January 18, 2022 - I've been extremely impressed with the '18 Pessacs I've tried to date and this is no exception. Nearly as good as the exceptional DDC, which is my favorite wine of the vintage. Gorgeous nose of strawberry jam, red licorice and Asian spice. Explodes with red fruits, raspberry, cherry and red currant, accented by herbal and floral notes. Rich and mouthfilling, yet elegant and poised, with barely noticeable tannins. Wow.

December 30, 2021 - I really like this, not as much as leoville Barton…..but a great deal. Well made, Jeff Leve’s notes are accurate and on point. I will buy another six, but they really need to cellar for about 8-10 more years. This is going to be a fabulous wine to pull down the road. Today it’s still a bit tight and not fully showing the goods.

Buy to cellar, but after you park some Barton!
