Community Tasting Notes 2

May 10, 2022 - Initially very floral aromas. Rose petals mostly. Red cherries and 'red winegums'. After the initial phase the aromas become more dominated by balsamic notes, and there is a hint of oak elevage. The aromas are less spicy than usual in dolceacqua rossese, less peppery.
The palate is smooth, with delicate red fruit, a nice mineral profile, slightly drying out and with some drying tannins that i suspect comes from the oak treatment. There is a hint of bitterness on the palate as well. It is a nice rossese, notably the aromas are very nice and delicate. If i should be nitpicking, maybe the oak tannins are masking some of the nice and delicate red fruit on the palate, making it just slightly chewy and 'woodsy'.

August 4, 2021 - Rating 96 just to even the 84 score this currently has, which is very unfair (should be around 90pts). 100% rossese, mineral, definitely worth tasting.
