May 8, 2021 - A nice chocolate mousse merlot! The nose is classic chocolate and mint. The palate has fine tannins that create the mouthfeel of chocolate that is at least 70% cacao :-)

January 5, 2020 - Deep purple color. The aromas of plummy and rich with roasted figs, cherry sauce, dark earth, graphite, pencil shavings. Suave, medium acidity keeps the palate fresh, zippy but plump with moderate/light tannins. Rich cherries and dark plums, laced with smoky earth, mint chocolate chip, leather and violets. Suave, balanced, vibrant, for near-term drinking but there’s a lot going on here. From a gravelly bench vineyard overlooking the Big Valley of Lake County, aged 22 months in 20% new French and American oak.
