December 31, 2023 - I love the aromatics of Riesling!
This had been stored for 2 years in my cellar and was now very lovely. Not as much acidity as most German Rieslings have, but that was not expected. Smooth, slight hints of honey, petroleum, grass and maybe peach?

    October 17, 2021 - Medium acid
    Yellow apples
    Petroleum, rubber

Short taste. Maybe to low in acidity

March 14, 2021 - Tasting four (rather) dry Alsace Rieslings at home: The most perfumed wine upon opening of our line up of four random Alsatian rieslings. A little bit more luxuriously complex nose than the others, which I later chalk up on the account of some old oak barrel élevage and some residual sugar. There is a soaplike riesling aroma (no petroleum) - green apples, lime peel, peaches and lemon. Also some damp cellar and later on browned apple core.

At first rather spritzy but also tell tale big mid palate with a grassy and slightly bitter mineral finish. At first it does not really mesh, but 12 hours later the parts start to integrate in the glass and this is lovely to a fish soup. It balances between dry and off-dry. A food wine that needs some time in the cellar but is expressive now as well.
