August 16, 2019 - 2018 was a record-setting wet year in Northern Virginia and the wonderful mountain fruit of Jim Law's vineyards of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petite Verdot and Cab Franc was used to make a rosé instead. I think it the finest Rosé I've ever had: crisp acidity, lovely perfume of cranberry and mandarin skin, a refreshingly vivacious mouth of white cranberry (yes, some light tannin) and honey crisp apple. Terrific by itself or with food!
