September 16, 2020 - The review on here calling it flat lambrusco is right on. Ridiculous that this wine costs $30. I feel ripped off.

May 26, 2020 - This was interesting. It was very good upon first opening, with fresh fruit like an incredibly good berry reduction sauce. Then these funky barnyard smells and flavors wafted up, and frankly, it became kind of offensive to put the glass up to the nose. However, by the next day, those qualities began to fade out and the wine hit a good balance that took it to the end. So, the wine takes you on a journey. I'd be tempted next time to enjoy a quick glass right after opening it, and then I guess let it breath (maybe even decanted) for a good long time.

    I'd buy it again.

April 17, 2020 - I don't see many D&G wines at retail in Chicago, and now I understand why this was out on the shelf a few months ago.

Used to drink the occasional cooler climate CA syrahs, but haven't in years. I think you can get pretty good $30 CA syrahs nowadays, but that wouldn't be the case here. This was boring wine. None of feral syrah characteristics, no meat, olives, smoke, etc. Dark fruited (blackberry, plums, black cherry) are dominant and missing any complexity. Bummer, I was really looking forward to opening this bottle.

December 4, 2019 - God. I love these guys, but this wine sucks.
Imagine flat Lambrusco w too little acid and a really boring palate and you might have the fairest idea.

Fizz and funk and flat flavors.
