January 3, 2024 - More of this bottle was drunk without food than the prior 2 I've had, and I noticed more phenolic structure accordingly, still, maybe a couple years from reaching its peak.

August 10, 2023 - Enjoyable bottle, but it still needs additional cellar time for my preferences. Hold.

April 15, 2023 - After loving a 2017 version of this I went looking and bought 2 bottles of the 2014. Before delivery I read two TNs from people whose palates I respect who didn't like it.

Concerned, I decided it was best to open the first bottle by myself.

Soft and delicate mousse, intriguing nose. Mix of soft and sharp strawberry on the palate. Beautiful complexity. A slight harshness on the finish fades with air and eventually turns to granite. I found it mesmerizing, a bit like a beautiful modern kinetic sculpture.

So I put the other notes down to difference in Champagne palates.

On Day 2 it had died, turning into a sour and flavorless wine.

NOSE: ripe red apple; chai (oak); fairly expressive.

BODY: dark salmon color; medium-light bodied.

TASTE: quite flavorful --- Sweet Tarts finish, or cherry Spree; bitter florals; bone dry, but not austere; it seems to be open and giving. It's good, but neither I or Ash is anywhere close to being compelled to re-buy at $80.

May 15, 2022 - Very good and complex champagne, this was a mélange of strawberry, granite and some dried nuts, not your typical fruity rose. It was on the fuller side but the acidity and minerality kept it very balanced and delicious.
