April 26, 2016 - Terrific nose right off the start, smoked and cured meats, spicy tobacco, leathers, some nice earthy tones, and surprisingly robust red and black cherry fruit. Nose expands further over a few hours in the glass. Delivers a wallop of ripe fruit on the palate. Tannins have melted away completely, this is both silky and syrupy. Bottle obviously in perfect condition. Wine in a great place for drinking right now, great development and complexity with good energy still. Awesome.

April 19, 2010 - 85 first day score...93 second day score...tobacco leather notes give way to simply luscious 21 year old fruit...smooth and supple...sorry to have only one bottle...but a real gem...glad to have met you!
