January 12, 2009 - Meh. Mild nose of cherry, nutmeg, and some dirt. Fairly intense flavors of cherry, black currant, nutmeg, and some more dirt, and burnt coffee underneath. Off-balance, kind of "angular" flavor. Average length finish. Overall, I say give it a pass.
Note that this is *not* a wine to Vinturi; it's flavor quality dropped significantly with a pass through it. If you've *got* to drink it, serve by pouring straight out of the bottle into the glass or not at all. -

December 24, 2008 - I'm glad I didn't open it for company. It was drinkable with pasta, but left a very bad aftertaste that I had to brush my teeth to get rid of. Even at $4 per bottle I will not buy again.

November 19, 2008 - vile dreck ... both on Day 1 and Day 2 ... amazingly, it worked fine in a quick wine/oil/onion sauce for steak. Certainly do not buy this stuff, and take all polite measures to avoid letting anyone gift you a bottle ... although that would be a good way to find out who doesn't like you. Worse than Jug wine. Easily one of the Top 10 worst wines I've ever had.

August 9, 2008 - i thought this wine was quaffable. got it at cost for $4 so can't complain. some sour cherries, strawberries and spice. medium body with no alcohol burn. weak tannins, quite off-balanced. there's a funky aspect throughout this wine that reminds me of a garbage can lid. kinda strange. serve chilled. 68% Zinfandel, 21% Syrah, 3% Petite Sirah, 3% Charbono, 2% Lagrein, 1% Valdiguie, 1% Grenache, 1% Tempranillo
