January 4, 2012 - The community drinking window is wrong, because this wine is in its prime right now, 12 years after harvest. A nice balance between fruity and savory, with deep blackberry and black cherry accompanied by coffee, herbs and anise. Long finish.

August 18, 2008 - Violets, chocolate, plums with a bit of clove that pokes through. A lush midpalate leads into a long finish, that is very low acid. Still good, but I liked this better in its youth when it showed a bit more verve.
