February 13, 2024 - This 7 year old is showing a very pretty gold color.

Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.

Dry on the palate with nice complexity.

Showing citrus, limes, grapefruits, almonds, vegetables, herbs and white pepper.

This is a very enjoyable aged Unoaked Chardonnay from Sonoma County. Tangy and interesting. Spicy and rich.

This Single Vineyard feels very young. Would be interesting to revisit it in 3 years.

    14.5% alcohol by volume.

    91 points.

    $70.

October 18, 2023 - Yellow in color with a golden hue. Showing some age.

On the nose citrus, light tropical notes, lemons, bananas, limes and spices.

Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.

Dry on the palate with limes, grapefruit, citrus, green apples, vanilla and even light oak notes, herbs, spices and earth.

Nice finish with almonds and limes.

This 6 year old Unoaked Chardonnay is drinking very nicely now. Nicely balanced with a soft mouthfeel. Fresh and crisp, and not showing much age on the palate.

Good right out of the bottle, and once it opens up, wild flower notes come in (45 minutes).

This Single Vineyard Chardonnay feels like a white Burgundy. Interesting stuff.

I had it 3 years ago and it is better now. It's my last bottle, but I wish I could try it again in 5 years.

Aged in stainless steel vats for 8 months. A small production of only 3,300 bottles.

    14.5% alcohol by volume.

    91 points.

    $70.

February 20, 2020 - Retail $42. Big Ass Bottle. Under Screw. Right off the bat: very cool that this wine is north of 40 bucks and under screw. Cool. As for the un-cool? A B.A.B. that serves no other purpose than to burn fossil fuels, add to the cost of the bottle, and to fool the customer into thinking that this is a "quality" wine (since it's heavy?). This wine does NOT need it--it is gorgeous. Light in color, but heavy in minerality, there is a bit of funk to this wine (but I love the funk). The palate is bright pear and peach (but more of the latter), with lip-smacking acidity and a finish that lasted until I brushed my teeth considerably later. I dig it. But not the heavy bottle. June 27, 2019 - Lots of California wines: Medium yellow color. Yellow apples, apricot, lemon crème on the nose, with sea salt, crushed nuts, ocean spray and honeysuckle. Crisp and lively on the palate with lots of depth of texture and flavors (lemon crème, apricot, crunchy apples). I get notes of minerals, sea salt, mountain stream, along with honeysuckle and ginger. Crisp, bright, but complex and flavorful. No maloactic fermentation, aged 10 months in stainless steel.
