December 25, 2023 - The other reviewers hit the nail on the head with the tasting notes, especially regarding the reduction which blew off around 30 mins after as well.

July 21, 2023 - HDH auction at avec (Chicago, IL): Not as overwrought as some other PYCM can be; this was a little lighter and there was some really nice acidity to balance things. Very drinkable and approachable.

June 17, 2023 - Classic young PYCM nose, matchstick reduction, lemon sherbet, discreet honeysuckle.
Mid-weight palate, soft and surprisingly approachable. Lovely fresh acidity in support. Super-fresh but nice juicy citrus fruit character on the finish. Not the most intense of wines but terrific.

June 10, 2023 - Rustic bouquet with some minerals. Same on the palate, lemon and lime, medium+ acidity and chalky minerals in the finish.

March 24, 2023 - This is drinking really well. PnP. Slight reduction on the nose that blows off after 30 minutes or so. Lemon, apple, a hint of chalk. On the palate, really nice acidity and mouthfeel. Good dry extract and texture. Long, pleasant finish. Great wine.

December 22, 2022 - This clear and pale wine is crisp, airy, with good concentration of lemon and lime flavors, ending in a chalky laser cut finish. It is an in between the razor like Lamy style and the Lamy caillat en Ebeaupin depth and radiance. One of the best St Aubin in 2017.

December 15, 2022 - The First Christmas of New England @ Christmas WIMPS 2022 (La Trompette, Chiswick): Wow. These 2017s are really open for business (although, of course, will get better for a good many a year). The nose immediately takes me to an avenue of blossoming lime trees (Tilia x europaea rather than Citrus x aurantiifolia) There is also a little grated celery interest and the faint exotic sweetness of an empty Turkish Deligth box. Palate is so poised and elegant; love it. With some time there is the faintest suggestion of smoke and some blueberries. Cracking

December 15, 2022 - The First Christmas of New England @ Christmas WIMPS (La Trompette, London W4): Very pale yellow. Smoke on the nose which reminds me of charred wood. Fortunately this wine is so much better than the off putting olfactory impression. There is a classy and refined mouthfeel with a subtle interplay between white and yellow fruits although it is certainly not fruity. Upon later revisits it completely opens up and there is serious persistence. Impressive.

December 1, 2022 - This wine opened with some reductive characters that took time in the glass to clear revealing a pale green gold colour and a fine nose of white peach, freshly cut pear, touches of mint and an underlying base crushed oyster shell. The palate has good weight with a great sense of balance between the stone fruit character and the stony mineral finish. It develops slowly but has real depth and poise making it a fine glass of wine.
