February 16, 2020 - Medium red in color, with only the slightest bricking. There are aromas of sweet red fruits with the palate showing rich flavors of strawberries and red cherries, orange peel, and a hint of tea. My last of seven bottles drunk over thirteen years, which have all been consistently good. It’s a shame 2005 was the last vintage of Olivet Lane from WesMar.

October 26, 2016 - 14.1% alcohol. Impeccable red cherry color, which ultimately shows what's in store for you when you drink this wine. Gorgeous nose that is showing some signs of maturing now. Bright red cherry, hints of mushroom and flowers, light spice, and earth notes pour from the glass. In the mouth, pure and refined, with forward red cherry fruit supported by mushroom and spice notes, with underlying hints of earth. The acidity sticks out a touch in this bottle, but the finish is brilliant and long. A

September 16, 2015 - Opened into a decanter then followed over three hours. Medium purple in color, with slight bricking. The nose shows candied red berries, potpourri, and wet earth. The palate displays raspberry, rose pastille, orange peel, and a light mocha note. The flavors are filling in very nicely with air, turning plush on the finish. Maturing very gracefully.

November 10, 2013 - Medium red color with an orange tint. The nose is delicate with red cherries, raspberry, floral notes, and earth. There is a lovely purity on the palate where cherry, raspberry, and roses seduce the drinker. The acidity is prickly at first but settles in with air and provides a silky texture to this light-bodied wine. The finish is pure red fruit and spice with moderate length. Overall, this is what makes pinot noir beautiful, weightless yet packed with pure red fruit and balanced acidity.

March 9, 2013 - Light red color with violet/orange rim. The nose is packed with cherry, red raspberry, orange blossom, and a touch of pinot funk. On the palate, there is raspberry, cherry, and ginger undertones. This light-bodied wine has vibrant acidity which enhances the fruit and provides for a silky mouthfeel. The finish is long and packed with red fruits. Overall, this wine is one of my favorites because it blends the lightness of pinot noir with wonderful midpalate depth.
