December 18, 2018 - (Disgorged in the mid 1980s, higher dosage probably around 30 gr/l)
Lovely golden honey colour with enough bubbles to keep this alive and showing freshness still. Very seductive on the nose showing flowers, dried fruit and honey in a maturing style. With time in the glass it shows lovely notes of coffee and tobacco as well. Smooth palate showing exotic mango fruit sweetness combined with soft acidity before the long lasting finish takes over with dried fruits and acacia honey sweetness.
This thirty years old bottle has clearly benefited from the higher dosage that backs up the drying fruit very well... -

July 28, 2009 - has a very horrible, cheap, chemical-like finish. costs $35 but drinks like a $15 champagne. this is an embarrassment to the moet. only posers buy this. spend a couple more $$ for veuve cliqout
