  March 24, 2021 - Seductive aromas with a tight character where clear soil lies over yellow cool apples, red berries, coffee, nuts, autolysis and with this yeast-baked character that is not quite finished in the oven yet. Good full and fresh Champagne with this nice layer of salt that just screams of authenticity. The tight, yet seductive fruit recovers with citrus, lime, yellow apple, redder apple, wax and biscuits. Long complex finish. These are real one! Great. 93 points.

  June 6, 2020 - I've tasted through nearly all of the 2014 Marguet range and my conclusion continues to be a vintage that is structured and powerful. This bottle of Ay was in that same vein, although I did find it to be more approachable than some of the other Ambonnay lieux-dits, for example. Disgorged February 2019, roughly 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chard, no dosage. Raspberry, plum, apple and the same powerful, lasered textured that has been a feature of the vintage. We crushed through this in just over an hour so I have nothing more to add based on any beneficial overnight oxidation.
