January 29, 2024 - Showing some age on the nose with dried apricot, sherry, toasted almond, and a bit of spice.
Full body with med-acid and low tannin.
This is drinking great given its age. I wouldn't wait any longer to enjoy.

May 9, 2023 - Rhone Candidate dinner - Hermitage Theme (Essential by Christophe): We all described it a bit differently but this is honey and kindof burnt caramel and that sense of an orange peel all put together. Very prevalent and almost gives the impression of being a sweet wine (esp since it’s more like a Sauternes in mouthful). Dense and intense (esp on the heels of a 2021) but quite enjoyable.

December 1, 2022 - Transparent gold-to-amber color. Hazelnuts, cocoa, and varnish on the nose. Medium body with medium acid. Initially a bit reserved on the palate but opened up with some air offer caramel, hazelnuts, and grand marnier-like orange peel. Improved with every sip; one of my favorite whites of 2022. Paired with fettucine alfredo with freshly shaved white truffle.

October 27, 2021 - First bottle suffered from total oxidation. Opened it and it turned dark orange in about 2 minutes. Second bottle from the same case was completely healthy and terrific. Fresh, bright, silky -- could have mistaken it for a terrific white burgundy

April 11, 2020 - Fairly oxidised on first opening. Very drinkable but probably needs to rest another 5 years
